Rabbi Babaev Baruch was born in the former Soviet Union in 1976. He attended university in Germany and studied business administration. Then he studied at SSC-Midrash Sefardi in Jerusalem to become a rabbi, shocket and mohel, graduating in the summer of 2013.
Rabbi Baruch and Shulamit Chana Babayev served as Rabbi and Rabbanit of the Dortmund Jewish community for seven years. Prior to that, the couple served for three years as the traveling rabbinical couple to the communities of Buchhum and Recklinhausen.
As a Sephardic rabbi at a congregation in Dortmand, Germany and he ran many programs, including a unique kindergarten program, “The Colorful World of Torah,” and runs many partnership programs for everyone from elementary children to married men. He also opened a Jewish school.
He is currently in Israel.
